was formed by Rick Von Gerichten for the purpose of representing and promoting in the USA quality Asian
electronics companies.



We are the sole sales agent and distributor for Shenzhen Current Electronics, manufacturer of high
performance GaAs CATV hybrid amplifiers and fiber optic CATV receiver modules as well as a complete
selection of Si hybrids.   



We are also the sales agent for CEI, Circuit Electronic Industries Limited, semiconductor sub-assembly
manufacturer for all types of IC packages in various industries.

Rick Von Gerichten..............
President of CURRENT USA, has more than 20 years of experience in sales to the CATV equipment
manufacturing industry.  His professional background includes over 30 years of design engineering,
applications, and sales.   Prior to his starting of CURRENT USA, Rick was sales director at ANADIGICS, Inc.,
with major responsibility for the introduction and sales of ANADIGICS' CATV products.  

During his tenure at ANADIGICS, Rick discovered the high quality CATV China company which became an
ANADIGICS customer and which he now represents.  Shenzhen Current  uses integrated circuits fabricated by
the USA company ANADIGICS exclusively in its GaAs products.  Rick also learned of the high quality and
service of CEI since CEI is a sub-assembler for ANADIGICS

ANADIGICS CATV Line Amplifier IC's .......
are used exclusively by Shenzhen Current  because the ANADIGICS CATV amplifier products have a 15 year
history of sales to the industry showing field reliability. ANADIGICS is a high volume manufacturer of high
performance gallium arsenide integrated circuits (GaAs ICs).  ANADIGICS is a global corporation with its head
office and major foundry located in Warren, New Jersey.  It supplies high performance RF ICs (radio frequency
integrated circuits) for high frequency and broadband communications markets. The product is final tested to
meet the CSO and CTB linearity requirements under full channel loading, and the packaging meets full heat
sinking requirements.  

Shenzhen Current Electronics, Inc. is able to use the complete final ANADIGICS product (not just the GaAs
die) with all its heat sinking capability in a traditional hybrid package and still maintaining the standard size.  
Shenzhen Current follows all the specs given by ANADIGICS for proper use of its product and building of a
hybrid equivalent circuit.  The result is a product which meets the ANADIGICS final specs and external passive
component requirements.

The end result is high quality active RF devices...................
meeting the top specifications in the CATV distribution industry at a low cost.  High quality and performance
because it uses active devices designed, manufactured, and tested in the USA; and low cost because it is
assembled in China.  Non-GaAs high quality silicon hybrids are also available which are competitive in
performance but available at low prices.

CEI ................
is a subcontractor assembly facility located in Thailand with a history of quality and service to global
customers since 1984.  Its location allows for stable low cost clean-room IC packaging, wafer thinning, and
other services under full ISO quality.  It also offers new Green and RoHS products.
